Woodbridge Robotics

9040 STEAMpunks Alpha & 13277 STEAMpunks Bravo

Who are we?

Woodbridge Robotics is an academic team at Woodbridge High School, Irvine, CA, advised by Ms. Jennifer Blackie. It is a combination of two teams, STEAMpunks Alpha and STEAMpunks Bravo, that compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge, a worldwide robotics competition designed for the middle and high school level. We're currently looking for sponsors and mentors that can help support our program! If you're interested, please do not hesitate to contact us at the Contact page on the top right corner or at whsbots@gmail.com.

What Do We Do?

Currently, we are competing in FIRST Tech Challenge's 2020-2021 Season: Ultimate Goal. We are also planning to host hackathons and workshops for elementary and middle school students, but more information about that will be released later. In addition, we are also in the process of creating YouTube tutorials about some of the basics of robotics to educate the community and inspire others to learn more about robotics and get involved.

Our Teams

9040 STEAMpunks Alpha, led by Dean Zepeda, continues the legacy from 9040 Team Hope in 2014 and aspires to have fun and to compete at the Regional Championships next season. 13277 STEAMpunks Bravo, led by Danny Lee and Timothy Nguyen, formed by some members of 9040 STEAMpunks in 2017 due to an increased amount of interest, also hopes to expand their presence in the community of Irvine while competing for the highest honor possible.
